How it works

  1. Start from anything — type a topic, paste notes, or drop a PDF, Word, PowerPoint, TXT or Markdown file.
  2. AI builds the structure — an overview, sections and sub-sections, tables, code blocks and tags, returned as structured JSON.
  3. Links appear automatically — related sections are cross-linked, every section shows what links to it, and a live table of contents follows you as you read.
  4. Edit, publish, export — fix any section in the browser, publish a link like fastwikigen.com/w/…, or export Markdown, HTML and PDF.

Built for knowledge that's stuck in your head (or your notes)

Wikis fail because writing them is slow. Somebody has to choose a structure, split it into sections, add the table of contents and link related pages. FastWikiGen does that first draft for you, so your team can spend its time checking and improving the content instead of formatting it.

  • Team knowledge base: onboarding guides, internal processes, tool docs, FAQs.
  • SOPs and policies: a clear, numbered procedure from a description or a recording transcript.
  • Learning: a study wiki for a course, a language, a programming topic.
  • Projects: decisions, architecture notes and meeting minutes, organized into one page.

What you get in every wiki

  • A title, a short summary and 5–20 sections in a sensible reading order (overview first).
  • Markdown content: numbered steps, bullet lists, comparison tables, code blocks with syntax tags, callouts.
  • Cross-links written as [[Section name]] that jump to the right section, plus “Linked from” backlinks.
  • Concepts that deserve their own page become links that start a new wiki about them.
  • Tags and related topics for each section, and a sticky table of contents that highlights where you are.

Export to the tools you already use

Download a single Markdown file, or a ZIP of Markdown pages (one file per section with working links between them) for Obsidian, GitHub, GitBook, Docusaurus or MkDocs. Copy it straight into Notion or Google Docs with formatting, save a standalone HTML page, or print a clean PDF with Pro.

Frequently asked questions

Is FastWikiGen free?

Yes. You can generate 5 wikis a month for free, without an account. Pro passes ($4.99 for 24 hours or $19 for 30 days) add more wikis, bigger sources, Deep mode, PDF and JSON export, and remove the badge from published wikis.

Which AI model writes the wikis?

OpenAI GPT-5.4 mini, in structured-output mode, so every wiki comes back in the same clean structure: title, summary, table of contents, and main sections with sub-sections, tags and related topics.

Can I write wikis in other languages?

Yes. By default the wiki is written in the language of your topic or notes — Chinese, Spanish, Japanese and so on. You can also pick the output language.

Do you keep what I paste?

No. Your text is sent to the AI to write the wiki and is not stored on our server. Drafts are kept in your own browser. Only wikis you choose to publish are stored, and unpublishing deletes them.

How accurate is it?

For well-known topics the drafts are usually solid, but AI can be wrong or out of date. For notes and files, FastWikiGen is told to keep to your source and not invent facts. Always review a wiki before you rely on it.
