Write better prompts, get better wikis
A good prompt names the subject, the audience and the angle. Compare:
| Vague | Specific |
|---|---|
| Kubernetes | Kubernetes for backend developers: pods, deployments, services and debugging |
| Marketing | Email marketing for a small online shop: list building, flows, metrics |
| Privacy | SaaS data privacy compliance SOP for a 20-person startup (GDPR, CCPA) |
Pick Quick for a short reference page, Standard for most topics, or Deep (Pro) for a long, detailed reference with 9–14 main sections.
Why a wiki and not a chat answer?
A chat answer is one long block you scroll through once. A wiki is built to come back to: each section has a heading you can link to, related sections link to each other, and the table of contents shows the whole topic at a glance. You can edit sections, publish the page, and export it to your own knowledge base.
How it works
- Start from anything — type a topic, paste notes, or drop a PDF, Word, PowerPoint, TXT or Markdown file.
- AI builds the structure — an overview, sections and sub-sections, tables, code blocks and tags, returned as structured JSON.
- Links appear automatically — related sections are cross-linked, every section shows what links to it, and a live table of contents follows you as you read.
- Edit, publish, export — fix any section in the browser, publish a link like
fastwikigen.com/w/…, or export Markdown, HTML and PDF.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take?
Usually 15 to 60 seconds. You see the section headings appear while the AI writes.
Can I edit the result?
Yes. Click Edit, then Edit on any section to change its heading, Markdown content, tags or related topics, add new sections or delete them.
What do the dashed links do?
They mark concepts that don't have a section yet. Click one to start a new wiki about that concept — handy for growing a whole knowledge base.
