What you type or upload
When you click Generate, your topic or text goes to our server and from there to OpenAI to write the wiki. Our server does not save it or write it to logs. PDF, Word, PowerPoint, TXT and Markdown files are read in your browser: only the extracted text is sent, never the file. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models and keeps it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
Drafts
Generated wikis are kept in your browser's local storage ("Your wikis in this browser"). They are not on our server unless you publish them.
Published wikis
When you publish, the wiki is stored on our server and anyone with the link can read it. Published wikis carry a noindex tag, so search engines are asked not to list them. Your browser gets a private edit token; we keep only a salted hash of it. Unpublish deletes the wiki from our database.
What else our server stores
- Counters: how many wikis a browser (random ID, hashed) and a network (salted IP hash) generated this month, to enforce the free limit. No content.
- Anonymous daily counters such as "a wiki was exported as Markdown".
- Pro purchases: your email, license key, pass type and payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- Contact form: what you write and your email, to answer you.
- Server logs: errors only, kept 30 days. Rate limits use a salted IP hash, deleted after 2 days.
We email license keys you bought or asked for again, wiki links you asked us to send, and replies to your messages — sent through Amazon SES. We don't keep the address you use for wiki links.
Analytics
We don't use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.
Questions or deletion
Ask us to delete a purchase record or a published wiki you lost the edit link for through the contact page.
